Modified Action Plan
Earlier in the year, my AT was doing a word of the day but this had dropped away as other things took precedence. She suggested that I start doing a word of the day each morning and add to the words on the wall section that had been started earlier in the year.
The children put their names on the board when they come in each morning in one of four sections – I feel happy, I feel OK, I feel bad, I feel bad and would like a check-in with a teacher. I shared the picture dictionary I was using with my AT, which has a pull-out chart with 40 emotions on it. We discussed expanding the feelings section using some of the words from the chart and I was going to do this in week three.
